Future of energy resources

After spending 6 semesters in Environmental Sciences, the pace of my thinking ability has been altered to greater expend. For example, this year, the prime focus of my thoughts (like many others) has been alternate energy resources. When ever I see wind rustling through the trees or experience a bright shiny sunny day, what I actually see is the energy being transported from one place to another. Many might think I'm over reacting but if taken seriously , I do have a point. The reason is simple, what ever has been attributed to be mere predictions in the past have turned out to be bitter realities of today. Now mankind has been left with two types of options. One is to mourn our shortcomings and just let things happen while the latter option is to at least give this planet a try. Transport, Environment & Health: Awareness Raising amongst students and academia

This session was carried out on 18th May 2016 at Fatima Jinnah Women University regarding the importance of transport in daily life. Skilled men from their respective fields were there and shared there experience and views. Dr. Salim janjua, national project Manager (NPM) at Pakistan Sustainable Transport (PakTrans),UNDP Pakistan started the discussion while stressing about the need and advent of sustainable transport in Pakistan. After his consent Mr. Shakeel Ahmad Ramay, Senior Research Associate and Research Coordinator at Sustainable Development Policy Institute further stressed on the awareness raising regarding sustainable transport by stressing on the relationship of socio-economic factors and transport. He also raised a question i.e. why have the areas near Railway stations always so densely populated?
